Pumpkin spice lattes don’t really do it for me, but new outerwear on the other hand is a real reason to love Fall.
I like to have a few lightweight options in rotation, pieces that can be worn a zillion different ways and work on both cooler days and warmer days too.
This year I’m feeling pretty excited about my arsenal!
First up, this lightweight robe coat from AYR. The length and tailoring give this a slightly fancy/Kennedy vibe that I’m liking. Simple ballet flats down below (have you checked out Margaux’s made-to-measure offering yet?) and a trusty trapeze up top keep this look the right mix of classic and contemporary.
Next, this lumberjack jacket from Isabel Marant. The plaid jacket is a fall staple as of late, but not all plaids are created equal. The large scale graphic pattern, neutral palette and classic shape are what really drew me to this one. Pairing masculine with feminine is always a good idea, thus this winning combination of plaid jacket + pencil skirt.
Finally, the warmest of the three is this faux fur leopard coat, unexpectedly from NYDJ (further reason to love this brand!). Whether worn mob-wife style with a swimsuit, or with actual clothes, I feel like this jacket really gets me. It’s obviously a statement, so styling it with a simple basics and the world’s best sneakers keeps everything in check.
What are you wearing out and about this fall?
