Pajamas In the Wild

Katie Sturino / The 12ish Style

If you saw my last post, you know I have a pajama OBSESSION (and lemons too apparently). In my opinion, pj’s have gotten out-of-control cute lately, so my question is why do we exile them to the bedroom? Everyone loves pajama dressing right now, so why not wear your literal pajamas, you know, out??

I decided to take a self-imposed pajama challenge (speaking of self-imposed challenges, have you checked out my LaCroix #shotgun4shelterpets challenge yet?) to see if some of the cutest pairs in the biz could be styled in a normal, cute way outside of the bedroom.

And can they?? I think YES definitely but you tell me!

First up is this adorable Kate Spade Chemise. I love it styled over a pair of white skinny jeans like it’s a tunic. Clashing patterns via a bright bag and pool slides edge it up and keep the look from feeling too sweet. No one would ever know you rolled right out of bed, right?!

Continuing with the 🍋 theme, this Soma Cap Sleeve Pajama Top is a perfect stand-in for a blouse. A retro visor and slip-on sneaks give the look a sporty vibe I LOVE. I would wear this just about anywhere!

Calling all ladies who lunch! How cute is this Coral Island Set by Natori when it’s all dressed up?! A head-to-toe pajama look certainly has a relaxed vibe, so you need to add in tailored pieces and extra polish. A blush blazerclean-lined camel tote and tonal heels do the trick. Don’t forget the IRL bedhead 😉

What do you think? Are pajamas finally ready for primetime? I’m clearly a YES but let me know if you feel this or think I’m crazy!
