Lately I’m making a conscious effort to work natural skin care products into my routine. I figure the fewer chemicals and synthetics I use the better, but I’m not willing to compromise on quality — it has to feel and smell good and actually work!
Luckily there are SO MANY amazing natural products out there right now (even more than I realized) so it’s totally possible to have the best of both worlds.
I tried a ton of brands and products over the past couple months (hard work for sure in the name of blogging) and discovered a handful that I truly love and wouldn’t want to live without! I’m sharing my natural skin care routine today for anyone out there looking to beef up their arsenal.
Most mornings start with a head-to-toe moisture sesh in the form of Mun Pure Argan Oil. It keeps my skin soft all day. Next up is Bust Dust, the all-natural anti-boob-sweat spray from my new line, Megababe. Yes I’m lucky enough to have a sample (it’s available for pre-order now, shipping in a month) and for me, this product is everything! I apply it between, under and around my boobs before getting dressed and am finally able to be outside on a hot day and live my life without sweat stains seeping through my top.
Onto the face 🙂 First I cleanse with Mun Akwi Purifying Cleanser. You apply it dry, which feels weird at first, but then the oils start to warm and penetrate the skin as you rub and suddenly it feels heavenly. It leaves my skin soft, moisturized and dewy. I follow this with a spritz of Caudalie Beauty Elixir, aka magic in a bottle, and then the GOOP Enriching Face Oil — it’s the perfect consistency, not too heavy & not too light. I finish with GOOP Revitalizing Day Moisturizer (I know… a lot of GOOP but I swear I’m not just drinking the Gwynnie koolaid, the products really are amazing!).
During the day I carry around Caudalie Grape Water for a mid-day pick me up. It’s super refreshing, doesn’t wreck your makeup and I’m addicted!
At nighttime, I wash the day off with Sunday Riley Blue Moon cleanser. Another oil-based cleanser (they are the best!!) but this time with a little grit to it to tackle the makeup. On mask nights, I throw on the GOOP Exfoliating Instant Facial Mask and take a Netflix break (but don’t leave it on too long right out the gate, especially if you have sensitive skin). I follow this with a mist of French Girl Floral Toner (THAT SCENT!) and then a couple drops of Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil for a light retinol. My final step is a dab of GOOP Replenishing Night Cream — it’s really rich and moisturizing and a little goes a long way!
I know that’s a lot of product and chances are you aren’t looking to overhaul your whole routine, but that’s the beauty of beauty products… even working in one new product can yield amazing results! Let me know what your natural go-to’s are. Anything amazing I missed??
