Head-To-Toe Print For Non-Print People

Unofficial print week continues here on 12ish, this time with a full-on, head-to-toe look that I swear ANYONE can pull off, even non-print people!

Here’s the scoop. Obviously when you cover your whole body in a pattern it’s gonna make a statement. But there are ways to dial that statement up or down.

The print is obviously the main thing determining how bold you look (and feel!). The easiest print to wear is definitely leopard, especially in a muted color palette. The fashion community will tell you it’s basically a neutral and they’re not wrong!

Second, the silhouette makes a big difference. This Tibi dress is gorgeous but the shape – a long sleeve, crew-neck maxi dress – is super basic, making the whole look easy to digest.

Basically, when you’re wearing head-to-toe pattern, look for a classic shape and an amazing print that you love and can’t imagine ever getting sick of and you will be golden!

You can still have fun with accessories — like these over-the-knee glitter Eloquii boots and this bright yellow Mansur Gavriel clutch — but stick with solid colors and easy shapes that will pop against the pattern.
